BIMWorkplace

ArcoVerde is a residential development that proposes a new way of living—fully integrated with nature and community. With 25,000 m² of built area, 7 lots, and 255 housing units, the project prioritizes biodiversity with large green spaces, bringing nature back into the urban landscape. But turning this vision into reality required more than just good intentions—it demanded full team integration and a high level of technical coordination. It was in this context that BIMWorkplace boosts collaboration as a key success factor.

The challenge: ensuring efficient coordination in a complex project

Like many large-scale projects, ArcoVerde faced challenges common in the construction sector:

  • Rework caused by communication failures,
  • Delays due to lack of alignment between disciplines, and
  • Time wasted identifying and resolving design clashes.

With multiple teams involved, it was essential to ensure that everyone was working with the right information at the right time—something traditional workflows rarely guarantee.

The solution: BIMWorkplace as the central platform for BIM collaboration

To overcome these challenges, the project team adopted BIMWorkplace as the main platform for BIM Coordination. With the Collaboration module, they were able to centralize model management and organize discussions with clear assignments and shared views.

The Collaboration module enabled full traceability of issues imported from Navisworks, where clash detection was carried out. These clashes were automatically converted into topics, categorized, and assigned to the responsible teams.

Using the BIMWorkplace plugin in Revit, each designer was able to view and resolve clashes directly within their authoring environment—without switching tools or workflows. This direct integration empowered teams to act quickly and confidently.

Beyond clash resolution, BIMWorkplace was also used to report visual inconsistencies and propose design improvements. Through visual analysis, teams were able to flag opportunities or risks not captured by automated checks—ensuring a more complete and human-centered coordination process.

All of this happened in a fully cloud-based environment, accessible to everyone involved. BIMWorkplace boosts collaboration by bringing different professionals together on a single platform—keeping everyone updated, aligned, and productive.

Results: more efficiency and fewer conflicts

With the support of BIMWorkplace, the ArcoVerde project saw measurable results from the very first coordination cycles:

With the support of BIMWorkplace, the ArcoVerde project saw measurable results from the very first coordination cycles:

  • 75% of all design clashes were resolved before construction began, including 100% of the critical ones, avoiding rework and delays

  • The project became more organized, with decisions properly logged and traceable

  • Communication between teams became clearer and more solution-oriented

  • Model review processes were streamlined, focusing only on what truly mattered
