The Recent and Favorites sections help you quickly access the files you use most – saving time and improving navigation in the CDE.
1 – Recent
The Recent section shows all the files you’ve added to the CDE, regardless of their folder location.
Key points:
- Displays files in a flat list, without folder separation.
- Useful for jumping back into documents you were working on without searching for them in the folder structure.
2 – Favorites
The Favorites section is your personal quick-access list of important files.
To add a file to Favorites:
- Locate the file in the CDE.
- Double-click the star icon next to its name.
- Check the box to mark it as a Favorite.
The file will now appear in your Favorites section.
To remove a file from Favorites:
- Double-click the star icon again to uncheck the box.
Key points:
- Favorites are personal—other users cannot see your selections.
- Ideal for quick access to reference documents or frequently updated files.
3 – Best Practices
- Recent – Use for quick return to ongoing work.
- Favorites – Use for files you need regularly throughout the project lifecycle.
