Activating Versions

1. 1. Go to the Version Management tab
   2. View all federated models and their available versions
2. Once a version finishes processing (loading spinner completes and a green checkmark is shown), select it and click Activate Version
3. Activating a version makes it available for use in the federated viewer.

2. Extracting data

To use model data in the Explorer module, data extraction is required.

Data extraction is available for:

• All IFC models
• Revit models uploaded through the BIMWorkplace Revit Plugin

To extract data:

1. Select the desired model in Version Management
2. Click Extract Data

Once completed, the model’s properties become available for grouping, editing (if permitted), reporting, and synchronization workflows in Explorer.

3. Loading Models in the Viewer
   1. In the Models Management tab, click the 3D icon next to any activated model to load it into the federated viewer.
      1. This allows you to explore geometry and use the model across other modules.
   2. Click the Data icon (next to the 3D icon) to activate the extracted data for use in the Explorer module, including Group By, tables and data analysis.

This workflow ensures that models are not only visible but also fully usable for data-driven coordination and management within BIMWorkplace.
