Workplace Attributes in BIMWorkplace are used exclusively for project creation. The idea is to set up standardized data for your company according to the metrics and types of projects you typically handle.
They define dropdown fields in project creation forms and ensure consistency across all the project. The attributes include: Project types, Business unit, Construction types, Contract types, and Quality standards.
Although BIMWorkplace provides default options for each field, the manager has the flexibility to delete values that are not typically used and create options that are relevant to the company.
During the creation of projects in the workplace (see the next article), you will find a form that uses these customized dropdowns. This setup ensures that project data is consistent across the company, repetitive manual entry is reduced, and teams follow the same data structure. The project setup becomes faster and more intuitive.
A well-configured set of attributes makes your project creation process almost automatic, boosting productivity and reducing errors.
