The Comentarios and File History features in the BIMWorkplace CDE ensure transparency, traceability, and clear communication around project documents.
Together, they allow teams to understand what changed, when it changed and who made the change – all in one place.
1 – File Comments
Every file in the CDE includes a Comentarios section that works as a contextual discussion space directly attached to the document.
Comments can be used to:
- Explain why a file was uploaded or updated
- Request changes or clarifications
- Confirm approvals or reviews
- Document decisions related to the file
Because comments are linked directly to the file, they eliminate the need for emails or external communication tools and ensure that all discussions remain accessible and traceable.
2 – File History
Each file also includes a History tab, where all actions related to the file are recorded.
The history log track events such as:
- File uploads and new versions
- File renaming
- Attribute value changes
- Versions updates
Each action is stored with the date, time, and user responsible, providing a complete audit trail for the document.
Together, Comentarios and File History help teams collaborate more effectively while maintaining full visibility and accountability throughout the document lifecycle.
