Flexibility as a rule!
When utilizing Issues within Newforma, it is essential to use ifc models. Its restriction to upload rvt or nwc models to Newforma or connect to a CDE is impeditive to have a smooth and efficient workflow.
In BIMWorkplace, users regain their autonomy, enabling them to store models either on their desktop or in a CDE. Furthermore, models can be sent to the BIMWorkplace viewer through three methods: a Revit plugin, direct upload via the cloud, or by connecting our app to Autodesk Docs. And we do accept IFC, Revit and Navisworks models.

This restriction, coupled with the poor integration between clashes and issues within Newforma workflows, makes it difficult to monitor clash resolution progress effectively.
In contrast, BIMWorkplace offers a solution to this challenge. Users can continue utilizing Navisworks, a beloved tool among BIM Managers, while also attaching clashes to issues (at BIMworkplace we call it topics) within the BIMWorkplace platform. Furthermore, any changes in status both in Navisworks or BIMWorkplace, from New to Resolved or Approved, can be synced across team members, streamlining the resolution process and enhancing collaboration.
