Meet Sofia: the BIMWorkplace Artificial Intelligence
Meet Sofia, the BIMWorkplace Artificial Intelligence. Discover how to query data, explore BIM models, and interact with your projects.

Meet Sofia
A new way to interact with your BIM projects
What if you could talk to your BIM project?
Imagine being able to find out how many topics are still open, consult the configured clash tests, or get a summary of the project schedule, simply by asking a question.
This is precisely what Sofia, the BIMWorkplace Artificial Intelligence, offers.
Developed to work within the context of your projects, Sofia allows you to interact with information through a conversation, making it simpler to query data and perform specific tasks.
And you can already try it out!

A new way to access your project information
Anyone working with BIM knows that the amount of information associated with a project can be enormous.
Models, documents, properties, topics, coordination results, and planning data are part of the teams' daily routine. The challenge is not always having access to this information, but being able to find what we need at the right moment.
Sofia makes this process easier.
Integrated into BIMWorkplace, it allows you to ask questions in natural language and get answers based on the information available in the project.
It is not necessary to know every menu or exactly where to look. Just explain what you want to know, just as you would in a conversation.
What can you do with Sofia?
Sofia was designed to support different tasks throughout the development of a project, from querying model information to monitoring coordination and planning.
For example, you can ask:
"Which clash tests are already configured for this project?"
"How many topics are open?"
"How many different categories exist in the active models?"
"Make a summary of the project schedule."
These are simple questions, but they allow you to access different types of information without having to navigate through several platform modules.
You can consult existing clash tests, track unresolved topics, explore model data, or get an overview of the planning.
And its capabilities are not limited to questions.
Sofia can also help perform certain actions on the platform, such as creating or updating topics and interacting with elements in the 3D viewer.
Everything depends on the available features and the permissions assigned to the user.

Meet the Sparks: experts working with Sofia
Sofia does not work alone.
It counts on the Sparks, Artificial Intelligence specialists associated with different areas of BIMWorkplace.
Each Spark is oriented toward a specific set of capabilities, allowing them to support tasks related to documentation, clash detection, IDS requirements verification, planning, and other project areas.
Sofia acts as the point of contact with the user, while the Sparks help meet the needs of each task.
The goal is simple: to allow different types of information and tools to be accessible through a more natural interaction experience.

Integrated into BIMWorkplace, with your project context
One of the main features of Sofia is its integration with BIMWorkplace.
Instead of functioning as a generic assistant, it can consult information related to projects, including documents, models, topics, and analysis results.
This integration allows answers to take into account the context of the available information, without depending only on general explanations about BIM.
Sofia also respects the access permissions defined on the platform. Thus, each user remains limited to the information and operations for which they are authorized.
There are also different forms of interaction: from simple data queries to the execution of actions, which may require confirmation before being applied.
Artificial Intelligence helps work with information, but control over decisions remains in the hands of the users.
Sofia is already available. And this is just the beginning.
Sofia can already be used in BIMWorkplace, in a beta phase where we continue to develop and refine its capabilities.
We want project interaction to be increasingly simple, allowing teams to spend less time looking for information and more time on the work that really matters.
And there is still much to discover.
