Audience: Project admins / review managers
Purpose
Create and manage reusable approval workflow templates: steps, key/optional reviewers, rules, initiators, and drafting options.
Relevance
Standardizes reviews in the CDE. Templates with participants apply directly when creating a review, leading to less ad hoc configuration and fewer role-related errors.
Usage example
The BIM manager creates a New template called “Design gate,” adds two steps with Key reviewers, enables Public, defines initiators, and saves it. The team then selects the template when creating a Review.
Who can use it
Users with Project Settings / approval templates permission.

- Sheet Create/Edit: metadata, Public, initiators, More options, Steps editor.

How to use
- Project Settings → Approval Flows (BETA).
- New template → name, Public, initiators.
- Add step → key/optional reviewers and rules.
- Save; use the template in Review & Approval.
